Ascent into Light

Zero found himself in a lush green leaved forest with a river running down one side.
Zero heard someone approaching from a distance ahead of him, and so he ducked down to the ground and drew Derios and darted towards the nearest tree from which he kept a lookout for the approaching foe.

Horns blared through the forest and horsemen rode past the place where zero lay in wait. mingled shouts were spread through the froup and zero heard them. "Where did she go?" "That theif" "She cant be far lads lets get her" with that they faded into the distant dark of the forest.
Lexie entered the clearing putting a big bag on the ground and taking out a small pouch from her belt. "Phew" She said drawing out a necklace and putting it on. "Almost got caught there" she sat on a fallen tree stump "Lets se if they are gone" She said placing her hand on the stump and closing her eyes. She sat there for a few moments with her eyes closed then she jumped up and drew her swords protectively taking a defensive stance "Whos there?" she said "Show yourself"
She could sense someones presence and it posed a threat to her whoever it was "Whos there?" She scanned the tree line for the source of the power. "The trees told me of your presence, no point hiding. show yourself!" she demanded

Zero heard a womans voice call out about something like "no point in hiding" "the trees told me your there". So Zero shifted his blade round in front of him so that he could place his hand on the centre of the blade and mutter the words come forth spirit of darkness, a few seconds later a beast made of bone hovered in front of Zero. "I want you to see if she is heavily armed and if there is anyone else with her" Zero muttered to the beast, which flitted off into the forest towards the girls location.

Zero then proceeded to put his mind to removing the glove covering his right hand and manipulating the bone into a temporary blade whilst Derios was off in search of the woman.
Zero slid himself down carefully from the tree and shifted himself towards the hollow cries that the beast was making signalling to come closer and look.
He edged closer to the hollow cries and found a small gap in the bushes which allowed him to see the woman sitting there. Zero then went on to say "Who are you,What is your name for if you are my foe I would like to know it before I kill you, and why where those men following you?" Zero asked inquistively to the woman whilst moving himself slowly but silently round to behind her location, Where he lent against a tree and waited for a reply or an attack to come from somewhere.

Hollow and eerie cries rang out around her position she shifted uneasily then she sensed something to the right of her position in the clearing, something was just behind the bushes. Then she heard a strange voice. It said "Who are you,What is your name for if you are my foe I would like to know it before I kill you, and why where those men following you?"

She jumped back from the voice "My names Lexie, sir, were you with those other men?" she heard footsteps move round to near a tre and she caught a glimpse of a figure "Come out and show yourself!"

Zero revealed himself as the elf Lexie had asked for him to do. "I am in no way associated with those bastards, and why where the chasing you then,hmmmmm, Elf?" Zero whistled and the bone creature came and landed on the floor to the left of him.
"Are you wanting a fight" Zero asked eyeing up Lexies blades and weighing them against his temporary blade with his eyes.
In the blink of an eye Derios was back in Zero's hands in blade form.
"so your wanting a fight then, So be it elven scum" Zero snarled fiercely at the Elf named Lexie and Zero shifted his weight onto his back foot allowing for him to get into his battle stance.

"They were after my loot"[coloer=green] She said sensing the power rising in her opponent. so it came as little surprise when he called forth his other weapon and took up a fighting stance. Lexie maintained her stance and awaited the demons First move[/color]

Zero saw that she was waiting for something to happen, so Zero took his turn before most humans could react as he darted round to behind her and slashed with Derios downwards and his temporary bone blade horizontally across her back, he then after completing his slashes grabbed Lexie from behind and held the bone blade against her throat. "How do you like me now ,hmm,Elf" Zero growled in a whisper as the demon rose inside of him, Zero whilst fighting the battle against the elf was also fighting an inner battle against the demon trapped inside of him. Zero let out a deep scream as the demon began to leak through the vessel which imprisoned him. Inside of Zero's head he could only hear "I'll help you just this once Zero for you have allowed me to regain my former strength whilst being imprisoned inside of you, and for that I am grateful" Zero tightened his grip on his blades as the demon took control of his body.

OOC: now this should get interesting.

"Yeah" Lexie said stabbing backwards with both blades while He was screaming, attempting to prise the blades away from her

Zero felt a tingling sensation as the blades plunged into the skin of his chest.
The next thing he knew he had somehow solidfied the skin of his chest so the blades where stuck into him and now he held the blades even closer to her body,and growled into her ear with the voice of the inner demon "I wouldnn't do that to him if I were you" As he twisted the blade so it was pressing against the bottom of her jaw and Derios across her stomach.
"nothing you can do to me can hurt me, but you may just destroy the worthless body which imprisons me if you wish." The demon chuckled as he said so in a demonic way, in which chilled the small fraction of Zero's mind that was left.
