Mkay so I loved the rare hunts in FFXII. I felt it added a unique aspect to the game. Plus some of the battles were VERY hard. Neih impossible in some cases.

What exactly are the rare hunts? I'm up to Mt Bur-Omisace, so I'm not sure whether I'm able to find them or not.

Monsters that basically don't appear very often - there's generally just one of them. Also, you can generally only fight them once - their style is always different to regular monsters.

I love rare hunts - it's just so fun trying to take on tougher then normal beasties!

What is an example of one? So it is like a random encounter on a rare monster? Sounds very familiar from somewhere, I can't put my finger on it.
