Chocobo racing!

Well anyone ever played it? I still have a copy and with a certain friend we always play it ... well I mean when he happens to visit me

I find it quite cool!

Well I rarely lose, tho to be true all the wins are very close And that's the thing I like. Thanks to those magic attacks and things there is always quite a high pressure on you
I wonder why this game got so bad scores at different sites ... It isn't gran turismo but it is certainly fun, especially for children. It should got at least a 7 average score

Lol I used to have it, prolly still do somehwere but in a box... alone... with an unopened condom... Damn I should go liberate it... I remember it cause I always seemed to win the races and shit

i never really enjoyed the in-game ff7 version of this game... is it really that good? did i miss out on something, personally i prefered to play the snowboarding

It's not the one in FF VII we are talking about It's a whole game called chocobo racing. Totally different from the one inside FF VII

yeah i know that thats why i said that did i miss something by not getting the game... as i didnt like chocobo racing ingame i didnt think id enjoy playing the whole game of it. lol

Well it is not similar to it. To be honest, it is totally different game than the one in FF VII. It has many different cars/transport vehicles like a chocobo or a white mage flying on a cloud. The racing mechanic is similar to most racing games but what really makes this game fun, is the amount of different ways to ruin others race. For ex. you can pick up some elemental magic things and then cast spells on other racers etc. That makes every race very challenging even if you are good at it. Also it has quite cool laps.

While the story isn't anything special, it is still decent for a fun racing game. I think you don't miss anything if you haven't played it but if you had, it wouldn't hurt at all.

ill check if any shops are still sotcking it then... might give it a go. sounds a little like ff meets crash team racing that should be funny

Yeah it definitely was fun At least for me as I raced together with my good friend when he happened to visit me We always tend to have close wins before each-other but failing totally at a lava map isn't rare as well

ive always disliked lava maps on any game for that very reason

Yeah. And this one is one of the hardest laps I have ever taken part of and definitely most challenging race of Chocobo Racing But when you get the hang of it you might even be able to win it. Tho, even if it's most challenging map, I think it is the worst map. The map textures and background seems kind of ugly and some places are just too annoying.

i think its a shame when you have levels like that, all the other levels are fine, well-graphiced for that era the nyou load a level and your like "WTF is going on it looks so.. so primitive!"

I never did the racing.. I only watched when my cousin played.

Never played it never even really heard of it.

Hehe, it's worth checking out Mother Yackle.

Just recently, my mate came to visit me. We took a bottle of liquer and turned on PSX. And the game was chocobo racing. For hours, we were laughing and having heaps of fun.

EDIT: I can't figure what it's, but there's just something about the game that makes me love it.
