SeeD what does it really mean

Post by Sir Sephiroth on Wed Oct 07, 2009 12:57 am

Throughout Final Fantasy VIII, your characters are trained and called SeeD. So what does SeeD really mean? Better what do you think that it means?

In the game, the headmaster of Balamb Garden tells you, that he and his wife are the sole creators of the orginization. Which he tells you is that they are there to take care of power hungry/dictator witch.

But that brings me back to their name. SeeD. What does it stand for?

Are you asking about what the actually word SeeD means? Like is it an acronym? I really dont think so. I think it just plainly means like Cid said that they were created to fight the witches, and they called them SeeD because maybe they were referring to the way they plant the thoughts of what they need to do into there heads?

No no. I know what they do and what Cid says they are to do. But I think that there is a meaning behind the SeeD letters. Hahaha. But that is just me

Well I think it has something to do seeds in general... I mean the students are like seeds and when they graduate they bloom into a flower... of sorts? Plus the whole schools are referred to as gardens... So i do think it's a metaphor from those kind of lines.
